Nediea

Our sweet friend Nediea is a true joy to know. She’s been hurt and disappointed before, so she has learned to build up walls to protect her heart. It takes a little time and patience, but when she knows you’re on her side, her true personality comes out. You’ll see her get excited about watching and playing basketball, and you’ll learn that she loves Chinese food, especially orange chicken with steamed rice. Nediea wants to be a nurse when she grows up, which tells you a lot about her capacity for caring about others and wanting to be a positive, helpful influence on the people around her. But those walls she puts up are tough to crack sometimes, and for good reason. Nediea struggles adjusting to new places and people. And she has a hard time reconciling her sincere desire to move forward with a new life with you and a lingering sadness over the family she’s lost through no fault of her own. It’s something most kiddos on the Heart Gallery experience. The great thing is that you have the opportunity to help Nediea see that not all families are like the one she’s known. And Nediea will show you that not all teens are alike. She’s pretty special, and she deserves a pretty special family to walk with her as she chases her dreams and goals.
