Trinity

You’ve heard the saying, “Let kids be kids.” Kids deserve the chance to just be a kid and not have to be the adult in the family and raise their younger siblings. Sadly, however, it’s a common trait among kids who come into foster care from unstable home environments. It’s the way our friend Trinity lived a good piece of her childhood, so she’s a little unsure of how to carry herself in a home with caring adults. She’s also a little untrusting of adults, which is no surprise given her background. She’s been let down in some pretty significant ways. She tends to stay to herself and keep her guard up until she knows you’re going to be there for her. Then she really opens up and becomes the Trinity we know she can be. The girl who loves the color purple and eating potato chips. The smart young lady who loves sports, especially volleyball, and who actually loves to help clean. When Trinity allows herself to just be Trinity, she’s an absolute joy – she’s easy to get along with and is always willing to help others. That’s the Trinity we want you to help come out of her shell and just be herself. She will thrive in a two-parent home and can be the oldest or the youngest in the home. Trinity loves playing with pets, too! She just needs to know, without a doubt, that she’s home.
