In order to best describe our buddy Justin, I want you all to try something for me. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, let it out slowly, and then try to imagine what it would feel like to never be able to see anyone in your family again. What do you feel? Anxiety? Sadness? Confusion? Fear? This is what our kids who are available for adoption live with every day. Now try to imagine what kinds of behaviors might come out of those feelings, especially for a child with a young brain that’s not ready to process those kinds of big emotions yet. Anger. Frustration. Irritability. But, our kids are good kids, right? So they also have a healthy dose of optimism, joy, laughter, and hope. All of these things can be found in our friend Justin. He misses his family, and some days, all those emotions come bubbling up and cause a pretty bad day. But most times, he’s the kind of kid that he truly wants to be – a helpful kid that loves sports and playing outside just as much as he loves playing video games and other electronics. Y’all, Justin is a good kid who just struggles at times processing all of those big emotions. He needs a family with a mom and a dad, and maybe even an older brother, to walk with him through the good times and the bad. A calm, patient, understanding family, and especially a steady father figure, is what Justin needs. If you’d like to know more about Justin, just ask.
