Video games, outdoor adventures, and good food – those things are the best part of life, right? If you ask our buddy Malachi, we’re betting he’d probably wouldn’t hesitate to say yes, but we’re also willing to bet he’d include something else, and that is family. Malachi is a teenage boy looking for a forever family. As we hinted at before, he loves video games, being outside, pizza, and Sonic. Due to past traumas, Malachi struggles to control his emotions and often has outburst of anger, and due to past traumas, he’s been resistant to the help and support offered by others. But, as of late, Malachi has been warming up to the treatment plan in place for him, and he has been actively participating in therapy where he has learned coping skills and how to regulate his emotions, and we’ve seen a decrease in outburst since Malachi has learned to regulate himself. Malachi would do best in a two-parent home with a lot of support and direction, strong structure, firm boundaries, and consistent and appropriate consequences to his actions.
